    Correspondence pertaining to a speech Otis Chandler gave at the Stanford University Alumni Roundtable on February 11, 1972. Items in this folder include a copy of The Stanford Alumni Almanac; a reprint of the Stanford Alumni Almanac; three items which include letter from Monitor Book Company, Inc., a tear sheet for the publication; and a leaflet about the publication. Seven pieces of correspondence which includes a congratulatory letter from Jack K. Horton, Chairman of the Board of Southern California Edison Company; a telegram from Ralph P. Davidson, Time, Inc. asking if he had any plans for dinner; a letter in which Otis Chandler responds that that he does, but will see him at the roundtable; a letter to Freddie Miller from Lyle M. Nelson, Chairman at Stanford University, confirming dinner plans; a note from Freddie Miller to Otis Chandler reminding him of the event; two letters from Della Van Heyst, Associate Director and Editor of Stanford Alumni Almanac, one letter is an invitation to participate and the other letters is confirmation letter.

Other items in this folder include a newspaper page; two thank you letters from Douglas D. Barman, Chairman at of The Texaco Round Table, one address to Freddie Miller and the other to Otis Chandler; a two page letter from L.R. Christy, Vice-Chairman of the Texaco Round Table, inviting Otis Chandler to speak.

    Four copies of a speech given by Otis Chandler at the Sigma Delta Chi National Convention on November 13, 1975. Other items in this folder include a four page copy of an article from The Quill entitled "Assemble In Philadelphia"; a letter to Nancy Baltad from Otis Chandler, thanking her for her hospitality; a response letter from Nancy Baltad saying the pleasure was all hers letter from Robert S. McCord, Executive Editor at Arkansas Democrat, letting Chandler know he is going to be the one introducing him at the dinner; a letter from George A. Stauter, Chairman for Personnel '76 National Convention, regarding arrival plans; a thank you note from Sherry Stern, President of USC's Sigma Delta Chi Chapter; a note from Freddie Miller regarding hotel arrangements; four letters to Otis Chandler and a note to Freddie Miller from Henry Rieger, Vice President of Public Information at National Broadcasting Company, Inc., in which he invites him to be speaker, confirms the date, and sends his regrets for not attending; a letter from William Small, President of The Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, inviting Chandler on a walking tour; a letter from Freddie Miller to William Small informing him that Chandler will not be able to attend the tour due to his arrival time; a note from Nancy Baltad, Chapter Delegate of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and Hospitality Room Chairman, inviting Chandler to stop by the Hospitality room that the chapter and the LA Times are hosting; a letter to Russell E. Hurst, Executive Officer of The Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, from Freddie Miller, in which she is sending him Chandler's biography and photograph; a letter from Russell E. Hurst requesting Chandler's biography, photograph and itinerary; three letters of praise, each has a thank you response letter from Otis Chandler; a letter, with an attachment, from Walter Burroughs informing Chandler of the compliments he's heard about the speech and also sends him a newsletter called "Update" which thanks Chandler for the great speech; and a four page edited copy of the speech sent out for reprint which has a note to Freddie Miller attached to it.

    2 items: 4-pp. stapled, no addressee, no sender, dated 4/1978, with sections headed "Mail," "Telephones," "Files," "Newspapers and Magazines," "Recepting," and "Entertaining" - this appears to be instructions from Ms. Miller to her assistants; copy of Management Conference Bulletin, no date, "Spotlights...Freddie Miller."
