Some of the figures represented here are Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, William H. Taft, on through to Richard Nixon. For most of its pre-1960 existence the papers editorial AND news polities were strongly dictated by first Harrison Gray Otis, later by Harry Chandler and those who agreed with them.
