Her hair lies in two curls, one on either side of her head, she is wearing earrings, and there is a broach at the front of her dress. "Photographie ; Charlet & Jacotin ; 37, Boult. de Strasbourg ; Paris." stamped in black on the verso.

  A bust-length studio portrait of a (Union?) soldier, wearing a hat. He is clean-shaven and has a somewhat wide nose. He is wearing a light shirt underneath a dark coat.

  Manuscripts

  A full-length studio portrait of Union Major Peter Schlick of the 22nd Colored Infantry Regiment, turned slightly to the left. Schlick has a thin mustache and a goatee growing from only the bottom of his chin that reaches his lapels. Schlick is resting his left forearm on the back of a wooden chair with floral patterned cushions. "Finley & Sons ; Photographers ; Main Street, Canandaigua, N.Y." is stamped in black on the verso. There is a green, three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington on the verso.
